Applied Power Products provides conveyor and elevator belting products across North America and globally. In late 2019, the company began selling InstaGRIP® tile, a line of ceramic tile designed to be easy to install.

According to Angela Field, general manager-Belting, “Unlike other abrasion-resistant ceramic tiles that are typically installed using silicone or epoxy and require 12 to 48 hours to cure, InstaGRIP tile features a simple peel-and-stick application that cures in one second. It also provides a mechanical bond that protects the metal substrate, rather than degrading it as silicone and epoxy do.”

“The one-second cure time for each tile reduces elevator downtime,” explains Field, “as well as eliminates the mess, smell, and fumes of silicone and epoxy.
