Norstar Collector Ring Designed For Safer Operation of Bin Sweeps

Norstar Industries offers three models of commercial bin sweeps:

• Commercial express sweep.

• Atlas™ tractor drive sweep.

• Atlas™ positive drive sweep.

According to Marketing Manager Ryan Sawatzky, in October, the company introduced its industry-exclusive, UL-listed collector ring for bin sweep systems that is designed to enable safer operation of bin sweeps by eliminating power cord twisting and the risk of electrical hazard.

Safer Operation

“The UL listing means the collector ring has been proven safe and functional by passing safety requirements in the United States and Canada,” explains Sawatzky.

“Safety regulations are becoming increasingly stringent, and we believe requirements to use UL-listed equipment will only continue to increase as farms consolidate and become larger,” he adds.
