Controller can communicate with analog and digital grain temperature cables

In February, CMC Industrial Electronics introduced The Grain Ranger™ digital grain management system.

According to CMC President Bob Reis, the Grain Ranger is an innovative new system in digital stored grain management, providing the digital network, digital cable, and components, as well as the intuitive WS2-GM controller to help operators successfully manage their stored grain.

WS2-GM Controller

The brain in The Grain Ranger, explains Reis, is the WS2-GM controller which can communicate with any commercial grain temperature cable on the market, analog or digital. “This allows facilities to migrate to digital cables at a pace that suits their budget and schedule.

“Our goal is to make it straightforward for operators to monitor and manage their grain using existing grain cable network and to provide a cost-effective migration pathway toward a state-of-the-art digital cable network.”

“The Grain Ranger is locally hosted on a customer’s network for a more secure solution,” he says. “This cost-effective monitoring system requires no third-party PCs or servers for data storage, so maintenance is reduced, and there are no software contracts or hidden fees.”
