Dump Pit Manifold Creates Cleaner, Safer Work Environment

For over 65 years, Honeyville Metal Inc. has designed and fabricated dust collection systems and grain handling equipment for the grain industry.

Among the family-owned and -operated company’s many dust collection products is a dump pit manifold.

According to President of Operations Mark Hochstetler, removing grain dust is becoming more and more critical for both small and large grain operations.

“The best place to capture dust is at a point where material flow is changing direction or transferring from one type of conveying system to another,” he explains.

The Honeyville dump pit manifold, he adds, comes in different configurations to fit either new or existing pit hoppers, thereby eliminating dust-laden air and creating a cleaner and safer working environment.

Hochstetler says the company also manufactures pit hoppers for incline drag conveyor applications. They are available in various sizes and configurations to accommodate a variety of grain unloading needs.
