Grain Loop Conveyor Efficiently Handles Abrasive Rice

Creamer Metal Products in 2017 introduced the GGR grain loop conveyor, which is designed for the hybrid rough rice industry to efficiently handle very abrasive rice and address component wear issues.

“For the GGR conveyor, we developed heavier-gauge material and AR liners on all wear surfaces, and these have worked very well,” says General Manager Andrew Bubp. “We also designed extra-large discharge gate openings to ensure the product fully discharges from the tube and extra-large center wells to eliminate plugging issues during unloading.”

Easy Maintenance

“No one else has heavy AR-lined standard product, and inspections showed very limited wear on corners. In addition, two-piece split transitions on all corners make maintenance easier, and we expect corners to significantly exceed the two-year lifespan that some customers have experienced in the past,” adds Bubp.
