In 1972, GSI began manufacturing corrugated steel storage tanks. Forty-two years later in 2014, GSI introduced its temporary storage systems as an affordable, quick, and efficient storage option when upright storage is full.
According to Ben Althoff, product manager-Americas grain, “Our temporary storage systems have a patented wall design that features louvered panels that permit maximum air flow into the pile, while reducing the risk of tarp displacement from straight-line winds. Proper airflow is very important, so we offer 12-inch-, 18-inch-, and 24-inch-diameter pipe to meet airflow requirements.”
“We also offer a full line of tarps to ensure grain is adequately protected,” says Althoff. “Our internal strapping system and Velcro rain flap with grommet connection protect grain from the elements. Optional door kits, tarps, and aeration systems are available to complete a temporary storage system.”
