High-Speed Weigh Lorry System Four Times Faster Than Other Systems

For more than 50 years, Abel Manufacturing has provided bulk material processing equipment for grain handling, feed production, seed processing, fertilizer, and more.

In the summer of 2018, the company introduced a high-speed weigh lorry system.

According to President Don Abel, “Our high speed weigh lorry system is up to four times faster than other systems and can accurately load a nine-compartment truck in 8 to 12 minutes. With this system, there are no tradeoffs – you can have speed and accuracy with scale hopper capacities from 2 to 10 tons.”

Proprietary Drive System

“The heart of the system is a proprietary drive system that provides more power to smoothly accelerate and decelerate weigh lorry scales to preserve accuracy,” explains Abel. “It also reduces wear and tear on trucks because they don’t need to be repositioned during loading.”
