Inspection Maintenance Software Allows for Paperless Management System

SIMON software easy to use on smartphone or tablet

Thompson Software in July 2018 introduced its SIMON® maintenance software system.

According to Kent Grange, director of business development, this paperless inspection management system was developed specifically for the ag industry after a major grain company requested a better way to manage its routine inspection processes and ensure its facilities stayed in compliance with inspections, repairs, and recordkeeping.

“SIMON is a web-based, paperless inspection management system that doesn’t require an internet connection,” explains Grange. “It’s convenient, very easy to use with a smartphone or tablet, and the software is 100% customizable to fit specific locations. Barcodes are used for accuracy to ensure the right piece of equipment is addressed, and pictures can easily be taken and attached to a work order.”

Customizable, Easy to Use

“When the maintenance person logs in, SIMON automatically brings up work and inspection orders, and a specific order can be viewed by simply clicking on the tab. SIMON can be customized for each conveyor or leg for each facility and is not a one-size-fits-all solution,” he adds.
