Product Review ... Linear Electric Actuators

For many years, Andco Actuators has supplied the grain and feed industry with linear and rotary electric actuators that are designed to put in motion a wide variety of gates.

The Andco product line includes actuators that perform positioning, lifting and lowering, pushing and pulling, and opening and closing functions. Applications include, but are not limited to, the automation of slide gates, diverter gates, and rack-and-pinion gates.

According to Product Manager Angela Flynn, “The quality design and quality material put into Andco actuators is what makes them so unique.

“Andco electric actuators can automate anywhere that precise, controlled motion is required,” says Flynn, “such as moving industrial doors, providing accurate position feedback for antennas, and modulating and controlling louver dampers.”

Flynn notes that Andco promotes a maintenance-free system to eliminate common problems associated with pneumatic and hydraulic units. Andco can replace most existing pneumatic and hydraulic units with a totally self-contained actuator, complete with controls.
