More than 50 years ago, the founders of Central Life Sciences pioneered biorational pest control – using the insect’s chemistry as a means to reduce pest populations.

In February, the company introduced two new liquid grain protectant products: Gravista™ insecticide and Centynal™ synergized insecticide.

According to Nancy Stratinsky, business manager-specialty agriculture, “Both of these products are formulated to effectively control stored product insects to minimize damage and maximize the profitability of stored grains without the need for tank-mixing.

“Gravista combines an adulticide, an insect growth regulator, and a synergist,” she says, “while Centynal combines an enhanced formulation of Centynal insecticide with a synergist.”

CODEX-Approved

“These new liquid grain protectant products are CODEX-approved for cereal grains and can be used on wheat, corn, rice, and other labeled grains and seeds,” says Stratinsky. “They protect against stored grain bugs, including Indian meal moth, sawtoothed grain beetle, red flour beetle, rice weevil, maize weevil, lesser grain borer, and other listed pests.”

Features

• Helps effectively control stored product insects with no tank mixing.

• CODEX-approved for cereal grains, including wheat, corn, and rice.

• Gravista insecticide can be applied directly on grain streams.
