Optimized in Three Areas

“Across North America, moving grain quickly and efficiently is vital,” he says. “To that end, the 5459 is optimized in three key areas: increased capacity, lighter weight, and shorter length, maximizing shipments with more product per unit train.”

Also new in 2021 is the company’s technology platform, Trinsight™, which is designed to provide real-time intelligence on the location, condition, and status of rail equipment. According to Anderson, this technology improves rail transportation efficiencies and safety and enhances the management of rail fleet operations.
