Electric linear actuators from LINAK are certified for hazardous and non-hazardous areas in the grain industry.

According to Senior Regional Sales Manager Randy Bowman, the company implemented learn-mode software with its LA36 actuator to improve operational flexibility.

“Whether a retrofit or a new installation,” explains Bowman, “the stroke can be adjusted to meet the needs of each specific location.

“For hazardous locations,” he adds, “the LA36 actuator can be certified with Class II, Division I, Group F and G, IECEx, or ATEX approvals. It also is available with non-explosion-proof options.”

Local and Global Applications

LINAK’s North and South American headquarters is located in Louisville, KY. “A large variety of LINAK actuators are manufactured at the Louisville facility,” he says, “allowing for fast response and shorter lead times. We are a global supplier with more than 30 subsidiaries, providing electric linear actuators and support for applications worldwide.”

Features

• Available in a range of strengths, speeds, and stroke lengths, in addition to multiple communication and control options, such as positioning feedback.

• The actuator interfaces with automation systems, making installation quick and easy.

• Rugged design for harsh conditions following extensive environmental, mechanical, and electrical testing.
