Since 1972, GSI has manufactured a wide variety of corrugated steel storage bins. In August, the company introduced the EVO 50 grain storage bin, which is designed for increased strength and durability.
According to Greg Trame, director of global product management-grain and seed, “The EVO 50 provides the strongest bin and the highest level of protection for grain, and it is also the fastest to construct. This design rethinks everything from how GSI connects grain bin sheets to the actual sheets themselves.”
“Interlaced lamination is proprietary to GSI,” says Trame, “and has been used on large GSI bins since 2019. EVO 50 will increase use of this technology.
Other industry firsts, he adds, include sealing washers for the nuts on the inside of the bin and 2X sheets.”
• New staggered bolt and interlaced lamination provide strong connections while using the fewest bolts.
• NZF2000 flanged bolts and nuts with conical sealing washers create a reliable seal.
• Industry-first 2X on all bins 90 feet in diameter and larger for fast construction time.
• Available in sizes ranging from 15 feet to 156 feet in diameter with heights up to 30 rings or 110 feet.
