Since 1963, family-owned Sukup Mfg. Co. has manufactured a range of products, including grain bins, grain dryers, material handling equipment, and pre-engineered metal buildings. In early 2020, the company introduced its newest bin sweep, the Paddle Sweepway™, to its full fine of commercial zero-entry paddle sweeps, which come in capacities up to 10,000 bph and bins up to 156 feet in diameter.

According to Material Handling Sales Director Randy Marcks, the Paddle Sweepway is designed for any 8-inch or 10-inch retrofit with a Sukup gearbox. “The Paddle Sweepway is an optional upgrade on new systems in 2020,” he says, “and it’s adaptable to 8-inch and 10-inch sweepways, U-trough, power sweeps for drag conveyors, and loop systems.”

Improved Safety

“The built-in, patent-pending, sump-saver open flow-through design improves safety by breaking up and preventing large chunks of grain from entering the center sump, reducing or eliminating the need to enter the bin to clear blockage,” explains Marcks. “The adjustable shield moves grain from the outside wall, and the paddles run right on the floor, removing virtually all the grain.”

Product Features

  • Robust design works in bins from 24 feet to 78 feet in diameter and up to 24 rings in height.

  • 60:1 reduction wheel provides longevity and traction.
  • Dodge® drive components.
  • Named one of ASABE’s outstanding ag innovations of 2019.
