Behlen wall panels add facility flexibility

Behlen in early 2016 added a temporary storage grain containment system to its line of grain storage systems that include corrugated steel tanks, flat storage buildings, and hopper tanks.

According to Sales Manager Kirk Nelson, “we have been at the forefront of many innovations and improvements in the grain storage industry.

“Behlen now is offering our latest development with our patent-pending design for temporary storage wall panels,” says Nelson.

“Our temporary storage systems offer a cost-effective alternative for short-term grain storage. Coupled with upright, long-term grain storage bins, this combination provides flexibility to your facility and adds profitability by maximizing the amount of grain you can receive at harvest,” explains Nelson.

Simple Installation

Behlen temporary storage wall panels are designed to be configured in many arrangements to fit into the available space. “If needed, the system can be picked up and moved to a new location or stored out of the way when not needed,” he says.

Nelson adds that the wall systems are assembled in 11.5-foot-long sections either one or two panels high.

The pre-assembled panels are shipped in the leg-folded position to save transportation costs, he explains.

“Once on site, the angle iron supports are unfolded. A typical 100-foot-x-300-foot single panel system can be set up in one day.

“Behlen temporary storage systems even can be installed on slightly unlevel surfaces reducing the need for extensive excavation,” says Nelson.
