Founded in 1912, Cleveland Gear was the first U.S. company to manufacture worm gearing for mass production. In 2013, the company introduced its universal conveyor drive shaft, which is designed to work with screw, bucket, or belt conveyors.
“Our universal conveyor drive shaft features a unique design so our customers don’t need to stock two reducers, and it works for screw, bucket, and belt conveyor drives,” says Vice President of Sales and Marketing Ed McTernan. “It can be used for screw conveyor sizes 2 through 6, and is available in 9:1, 15:1, and 25:1 ratios.”
Large Stock of Shafts
“We stock finished two-hole and three-hole drive shafts, plus green drive shafts that can be machined to customer requirements in one week or less. We have screw conveyor drives in stock in four locations – Cleveland, OH, Atlanta, GA, St. Louis, MO, and Los Angeles, CA,” adds McTernan. “There are also stocking distributors throughout the country for reduced downtime.”
