North Dakota Man, 41, Dies in Grain Cart Auger Accident

Bottineau County, ND — A Westhope, ND man was killed in a farming accident Wednesday evening while working on a grain cart auger, according to a West Dakota FOX KFYR-TV report.

Bottineau County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Matt Schimetz said the man, 41, was working on the grain cart auger about eight miles west of Westhope.

Paramedics tried to revive the man for more than an hour, but he was pronounced dead at 9:30 p.m. Details about the cause of the accident were unavailable.

Westhope fire and ambulance responded with Bottineau County deputies.
