NGFA Harvest Safety Week ... Aug. 23-27

The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) will hold its third annual “Harvest Safety Week” on Aug. 23-27 by delivering safety resources particularly useful during the fall harvest to members’ inboxes each day.

Topics include: struck-by; dryer operations; critical pieces of equipment; and bin harvest prep. This is an opportunity to exemplify commitment to employee safety by using NGFA’s safety materials and sharing them with the hashtag #HarvestSafetyWeek on social media.

In addition, NGFA encourages its members to share materials that are appropriate with farmer-customers.

All videos, Safety Tips Sheets, webinars and other materials can be found on ngfa.org/safety. Podcast: In a fall 2020 episode of “Listen with NGFA,” NGFA Safety, Health and Environmental Quality Committee Chairman Jason Eardley, process safety director for Archer Daniels Midland Co., took time to discuss the most important aspects of harvest safety and ways to instill a culture of safety in every workplace. Listen to “Creating a Culture of Safety.”
