UN Calls For Black Sea Grain Deal Extension; Kremlin Yet to Decide
According to a Reuters report, on July 5:
Russia said that it has not decided whether to extend the Black Sea grain deal.
The United Nations pledged to make every effort to prolong the pact before it expires on July 17.
The deal was signed in July 2022, and the United Nations and Russia also signed a "memorandum of understanding" saying that the U.N. would facilitate unimpeded access of Russian fertilizers and other products to global markets.
