Landus to Build Grain Elevator and Agronomy Facility at Former Egg Farm North of Fort Dodge, IA

Des Moines, IA – Landus announced Aug. 3 the recent purchase of land and assets located centrally between the towns of Ft. Dodge, Humboldt, Badger and Clare, along highway 169 in Iowa.

The strategic purchase of the site, which was formerly owned and operated by Sparboe Companies, sets the stage for Landus to upgrade and provide a grain and agronomy facility at this location, catering to the growing demands of farmers in the region.

The decision to invest in this facility comes in response to the feedback from local farmers for a centrally located agricultural hub enhancing their productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

With this purchase Landus demonstrates its commitment to supporting and empowering farmers and investing in their needs.

“At Landus, our focus first and foremost is on the needs of the farmer, and to provide what the farmer is asking for. The decision to invest here was driven entirely by feedback from the farmers in that region who have been demanding more. We have heard them, and we are excited to bring our Landus offerings to this area and continue to put our farmer-owners at the center of everything we do,” said Matt Carstens, President and CEO of Landus.

Landus looks forward to collaborating with local stakeholders, government officials, and the communities to ensure a successful implementation of this project.
