Brazilian B100 trials successful

In Brazil, BiodieselBR reports a partnership that began around a year ago between Binatural and Brasil Geradores (BRG) validated the use of 100% biodiesel to power electric generators equipped with Volvo Penta engines – a manufacturer of high-performance engines for the naval and industrial sectors.

To validate this new technology, three pieces of equipment spent 2,000 hours of continuous operation.

The BRGB Slim model generators with a power of 625 kilovolt amperes (kVA) are installed at the Binatural plant in Simões Filho (BA).

They provide the energy that drives the equipment responsible for mixing the biodiesel manufactured by the plant, which is capable of producing up to 360,000 m³ of biodiesel per year – the 14th largest in the country.
