Dome Trap Holder Keeps Lightweight Insect Traps in Place

The Industrial Fumigant Company (IFC) in February 2015 added Trécé®-brand Storgard® Dome™ trap holders to its line of insect monitoring and control products.

According to Product Manager Chelle Hartzer, “monitoring populations of crawling stored product pests is a key aspect of IPM that has been challenged by the inability to keep lightweight traps in proper position.”

The Dome trap holder is designed to keep dome traps securely in place, preventing traps from being displaced by airflow, facility cleaning procedures, or other accidental means.

“The Dome trap holder is easy to install and has a very secure fit using either screws, double-sided tape, or adhesive-back velcro,” says Hartzer.

“Despite the very secure fit, the Dome trap holder can be relocated easily.”

How it works

“The Dome trap holder features four small holes to anchor to the floor. The design of the holder allows air to flow around and inside the trap for proper release of pheromones and kairomones into the surrounding environment,” explains Hartzer.

The Dome trap holder works on both the standard Dome trap and Quick-Change™ model.
