EnviroLogix Rapid Mycotoxin Testing Kit Improves Risk Management

EnviroLogix was founded in 1996 to create diagnostic technologies and seek innovative ways to test for mycotoxins, which are toxic chemicals produced by fungi and molds that threaten grain and food crops.

In August, the company introduced its TotalTox™ testing kits to help grain elevators, corn mills, feed mills, and ethanol plants improve and increase their mycotoxin risk management capabilities and operational testing efficiency.

According to Julian Salazar, vice president of marketing, “The TotalTox testing kit is the fastest and easiest-to-use on-site testing solution for mycotoxins in grain and grain co-products. TotalTox tests for aflatoxin, DON (vomitoxin), fumonisin, and zearalenone and is available as a single-strip kit or in a comb format.

Quick Results

“The TotalTox comb offers a short time to results,” says Salazar, “by using a common extraction and sample dilution protocol. The individual test strips on the TotalTox comb are connected through a common backing, simplifying handling and improving testing speed.”
