Product Review ... BinMaster; Feed Management Software

Established in 1953, BinMaster designs and manufactures reliable bin level indicators, control systems, and sensing devices for feed, grains, and fertilizers.

In April 2021, BinMaster introduced FeedView® software as a service, which is built on an entirely new internet-of-things, cloud-based platform, says Nathan Grube, regional vice president of sales-central region.

“FeedView enables efficient delivery scheduling,” says Grube. “One log-in connects growers and mills with everything they need to know and do to manage their feed, including viewing current levels, placing orders, and generating reports. Users also can set automated alerts to prevent shortages and late-delivery charges proactively.”

Easy Installation

“We developed a battery-powered sensor that no one else offers,” he adds. “It’s easy to install and uses a wireless gateway, eliminating the need for electricians to run power to the silo to access the FeedView program. Inventory levels are accessible using a smartphone or laptop.”

• Facilities can view current bin levels, which are updated hourly.

• Facilities can place orders with the software and specify which bin needs delivery.

• Report generation provides historic consumption and use of medicated feeds.

• Automated alerts can be set in software to notify users to place an order, improving efficiency.
