Schenck Process first introduced the MCF PowerSaver® dust collector in 1986. Its newest model, which was released in 2015, has a self-contained positive displacement (PD) blower cleaning system designed to clean the bags using lower-pressure and higher volumes compared to standard dust collectors.

According to Steve McConnell, global director of filtration, “The MCF PowerSaver uses 50% less horsepower than a typical compressed air pulse cleaning system. It’s also easy to maintain, with only two control valves versus multiple pulse valves, solenoid valves, and timer boards required for other pulse jet cleaning systems.”

Lower Total Cost of Ownership

“The MCF PowerSaver has lower operating and maintenance costs for a lower total cost of ownership,” says McConnell. “That means on a 30,000-cfm application roughly $33,000 vs. $137,000 cost savings over the expected 20-year filter life.

“The patented system,” he adds, “features air nozzles that are centered directly over the bags to efficiently and cost-effectively clean the filter.”

Features

• Energy cost savings of up to 50% over conventional high-pressure pulse jet cleaning systems.

• Precision cleaning prevents overcleaning to maximize bag life.

• Its round filter design requires less explosion protection.

• Available in food-grade stainless steel.

• Available in 12 standard diameters and 40 orientations.
