Product Review ... Self-Closing Safety Gate

Established in 1965, Conveyor Components manufactures conveyor controls, motion controls, level controls, bin aerators, safety gates, and conveyor belt cleaners. In March 2020, the company introduced the Ready Gate™ self-closing safety gate.

According to Sales Manager Rich Washkevich, “Ready Gate was specifically designed to meet the current Occupational Safety and Health Administration standard 1910, subpart D and American National Standards Institute A1264.1-2017 standards.

“It is manufactured from high-quality carbon/mild steel with a zinc-rich primer and a polyester powder top coating for long life,” he says.

Easy Installation

“Ready Gate can be mounted on guard railings from 1 to 2 inches in diameter,” says Washkevich, “and is easy to install using only two wrenches. It’s field adjustable in 2-inch increments and available in two sizes – a 16- to 26-inch opening or 24- to 40-inch opening.”
