GSI in mid-September introduced the Direct Gear Drive (DGD) Power Sweep to its line of bin unloaders.

The new bin sweep is available in 8-inch (up to 48-foot-diameter bins) and 10-inch (24- to 72-foot-diameter bins) models.

According to Jonathan Waits, product manager-storage and accessories, the DGD Power Sweep features a simplified design with fewer moving parts for greater reliability, durability, and easier maintenance.

“The re-engineered DGD Power Sweep features new center and intermediate well designs, heavy-duty gearboxes, a single piece backshield assembly and redesigned end-wheel,” he explains. “The end-wheel is smaller and more aggressive to clean more grain closer to the bin wall.”

Easy Assembly

“Our older model power sweeps’ backshield had to be assembled in the field, but the new single-piece backshield makes assembly easier for our dealers,” says Waits. “Also, DGD Power Sweeps are installed permanently and start with the flip of a switch,” he adds.

Features

• Rugged steel roller bearings allow smooth gate operation and improved durability.

• Heavy-duty commercial grade gearbox.

• Adjustable rubber wiper can be adjusted closer to the floor for improved cleanout.

• Heavy-duty, 7-gauge Dura-Edge® flighting lasts 30% longer.
