More than 40 years ago, Tapco Inc. introduced the HD heavy-duty non-metallic elevator bucket to the grain and feed industry.
As elevator operators continue to demand more throughput and longer life from their legs, Tapco has aimed to respond with its 24-inch-x-10-inch Xtreme Duty (CC-XD) elevator bucket.
According to Vice President of Sales Yassine Abbad, “This Xtreme Duty bucket is the largest, most rugged grain elevator bucket anywhere.
“It runs at speeds up to 30% faster than the competition,” says Abbad, “and the XD is made with more material, has a stronger front lip, and retains the proven CC discharge characteristics that have become the industry standard for elevator buckets.”
• Reinforced with a 5/8-inch-thick front lip.
• 1,056.6-cubic-inch-capacity (water level plus 10%).
• Molded with 35-50% more resin than CC-HD heavy-duty buckets.
• Distinctive CC bucket-style breaks on the bottom of the bucket provide ideal product trajectory.
• Operates at belt speeds up to 940 feet per minute.
• Injection-molded using prime virgin polyethylene, nylon, or urethane.
• For engineering purposes, Tapco recommends spacing equal to nominal projection plus 2 inches.
• Can be intermixed with existing steel or nonmetallic buckets.
