Sukup Double-Run Conveyors Can Replace Multiple Types of Augers

Since 1963, family-owned Sukup Manufacturing Co. has manufactured a range of products including grain bins, grain dryers, and pre-engineered metal buildings, as well as its double-run conveyor, which was introduced in 2004.

According to Material Handling Sales Director Randy Marcks, “Sukup double-run conveyors can replace a roof auger, transfer auger, dryer take-away or fill auger, or even a permanently installed transport auger. In addition, Sukup is the only manufacturer to offer inclined double-run bend sections, and these are available in 30-degree, 32-degree, or 45-degree angles.

Improved Grain Quality

“The double-run conveyor has an advanced inlet design and a chain wiper that diverts grain around the sprocket for improved grain quality,” says Marcks. “We use bearings on both sides of all drive shafts, plus a separate gear reducer for reduced wear, and heavy-gauge galvanized tubing in 6-, 8-, 10-, or 12-inch diameters for durability and long life.”
