Sukup Manufacturing has introduced its Mixed-Flow tiered grain dryer, which is designed to be more fuel efficient and easier on grain than traditional pressure-cool dryers.
According to Kerry Hartwig, dryer sales director, “the Mixed-Flow dryer provides vacuum cooling in the lower screened sections and recovers heat during the cooling process. Recovered heat is reused for drying in the upper tiers.”
Unique Design
“The large, triangle ducts along the sides of the Mixed-Flow dryer allow for easy air flow and prevent it from plugging up with fines and bee’s wings,” he explains.
“The patent-pending design has fewer moving parts and enables a single conveyor unloading system, compared to most other systems that require two or three conveyors.”
Control System
“Our QuadraTouch Pro™ control system eliminates the need for around-the-clock monitoring, increasing productivity and efficiency,” adds Hartwig.
“The system uses advanced algorithms to increase dryer efficiency, reduce large swings in temperature, and discharge moisture.”
QuadraTouch Pro is accessible on a PC, laptop, or smartphone, allowing operators to monitor dryer activity and adjust dryer controls.
The dryer is available in lengths of 16, 24, and 32 feet, and capacities up to 3,300 bph.
