Wireless systems provide scalable solution for complex situations

This article is taken from the November/December 2019 GRAIN JOURNAL

BinMaster in October introduced a suite of wireless devices for grain level sensor systems.

According to Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Scott Hudson, this wireless system can significantly reduce the cost and complexity of installing a silo inventory management system using easily programmable, compact devices to replace wires with over-the-air technology.

“Our wireless systems can gather all the data and send it to our BinView or Binventory software, up to 1 mile line-of-sight,” says Hudson. “The data can be viewed on any internet-connected device, such as a smartphone, tablet, or PC.”

Scalable Solution

“These wireless systems are a scalable solution and a good choice for complex situations,” he explains. “For point-to-point communication, a wireless bridge can transmit an analog signal, Modbus®, or discreet data over the air. A multi-point system or wireless mesh system can send data from multiple silos or groups of silos throughout a location with up to 32 sensors in a system.”

Product Features

  • Saves time and eliminates the need to run wires.
  • Highly scalable system processes a variety of inputs and outputs.
  • Wireless repeater enables routing around line-of-sight obstructions.
  • Compatible with BinMaster’s non-contact radar, guided wave radar, and laser level sensors.
